Our Defensive Pistol class is open to anyone 18 years of age or older that has completed at least our Level 1 Basic Pistol class.
If you have a group of 4-8 people we can also schedule a private group class for you as well on a date of your choosing.
Again, this class requires that you to have taken Basic Pistol class or equivalent.
Defensive Pistol will continue to work on our accuracy, recoil management, and other gun handling skills, while also working on our draw from a concealed holster and integrating in the self defense or tactical mindset.
The cost for this class is $75.00 plus a $20 range fee at the range office.
You should plan on bringing at least 200 rounds of ammunition, semi-auto pistol, holster and mag pouch, and at least 3 magazines. If you have a pistol that has a magazine capacity of 10 or less rounds, you should plan on at least 4 magazines.
Blackhawk Serpa holsters as well as Appendix Carry holsters will not be allowed in this class. Holster should be either an inside the waist or outside the waist holster worn on strong side hip, along with a sturdy belt! You can plan on using either a mag pouch/holder or just keep your spare mag in pants pocket for training.
You will need to bring wrap around safety glasses and ear protection. If you don't have them already, I highly recommend acquiring some electronic ear muffs (Amazon). You should also wear a baseball cap whenever shooting pistol around other people to keep brass from falling behing your glasses.
